You'll Need:
Cardstock - I like to use 2 colors
Six petal flower template - I drew my own.
Sissors
Craft Glue
Paper Clips
Kabob Stick - or something like it
Step 1:
Cut 3 flowers out of the cardstock. I like to cut 2 of one color and 1 of another. I also like to use paper clips to hold the paper in place so I don't have ink lines on my rose.
Step 2:
In the first flower (this will be your bottom layer) cut a slit between 2 of the petals extending to the center.
In the second, cut one petal out.
In the third, cut 2 petals out.Step 3:
Take the first flower and apply glue to the petal next to the slit. Overlap the petal with the petal on the other side of the slit creating a cone shap. Do the same with the other 2 flower. Your cone should be getting smaller. I like to paper clip my glued petals together so I don't have to sit and hold them.
Step 4:
Take the Kabob sticl and curl each petal on all 3 flowers. Start at the tip of the petal and roll the paper under the stick. Your can be as "curlly" as you want. I like them really thight.
Step 5:
Take the 2 petals you cut from flower 3 and curl them into a cone shape. Overlap the edges a bit and glue. then that the single petal cut from flower 2 and glue it inside the cone. Curl the petals.
Step 6:Now your going to glue your layers together starting with the biggest. Put a ring of glue on the inside of flower 1. Set flower 2 inside (try to alternate petals). Then the third on top of that and the little petal cone in to the third. If they're not laying close to each other you might need to cut a bit off the bottom of the cone so that they are shorter.
And your done! I like to add little things to mine like rinestones in the centers or little butterflies to the petals! Make them your own! And if you try this out I demand pictures!!!!!
